Salient Features and benefits of Jupiter T-Bolt Clamps:

Flexibility : Use of thin flexible S. S. material is an advantage to fitment of variable uniform circular surface as against fixed sectional circular thick walled M. S. Clamps. Circular arc of Jupiter is adjustable to slight change in the diameter of the mating part which lags in the later.
Wider Bandwidth : Wider bandwidth helps in distribution of total radial clamping pressure more uniformly and equally than narrow width or wire clamp
Vibration-Proofness : Use of self locking nyloc nut or spring helps to avoid re-opening because of vibrations.
Corrosion Resistant : S.S. Band with optional S. S. T-Bolt imparts corrosion resistant Quality and advantage of re-use and failproofness after use.
Strength : Use of High tensile S.S. material in spite of its thin guage  helps to secure safety of the euipments and it's longer life.
Light Weight : For the equivalent strength of Jupiter T-Bolt clamps other design out of M.S.  will necessitate bigger weight, which may not be permissible or desirable.
Clamping of Metallic inserts : Clamping of splitted, tubular sheet riser such as Air Cleaner over it's metallic tube insert is possible by Jupiter T-Bolt clamp due to it's inherited quality of flexibility and above features.
Multifarious design aspect : Reference to various designs will give wide selection of quick opening type, constant torque quality, longer range and other requirements.

General Specification :

The construction of the Jupiter T-Bolt Clamp comprises of hard Stainless Steel band assembled with forged T-Bolt duly heat-treated and Zinc plated, locked in a T-guide with self-locking nut at the end.

Note :-
*   The term "Size No."and corresponding actual diameters of type "TB or SLTB" etc. from SAE J 1508     are confusive to the customers and are omitted here. Due to limited clamping range reference to     exact hose O.D. i.e. DN is more convenient and preferred.

**  These figs. are referred from SAE J 1508. Jupiter is tested for values in excess of the same.

Clamps with band thickness from 0.6 upto 2 mm, width form 14 upto 31.75 mm and bolts dia upto 7/16" etc. are available for special applications. For A.U. application, specific drawing are prepared and forwarded.

TYPE : JT 6A 20        Standard Clamp
This flat shoe or bridge clamp is widely used for general applications

TYPE : JT 6B 20       Clamp with Formed bridge
Clamp with formed bridge generally used for soft surfaces like silicon hose connections and special applications.

TYPE : JT 6C 20      Quick Opening Clamp
This construction helps to avoid complete opening of nut and facilitates easy mounting or dis-mounting.

TYPE : JT 6D 20      Snap Action Clamp
This is designed to have facility of re-opening and re-clamping of assembly required frequently for re-cleaning, re-inspection and re-servicing etc.

TYPE : JT 6E 20        Constant Torque Clamp
This spring loaded clamp is used for safety of assembly of hose or connected components from excessive pressure than the necessary. The joint is more vibration-proof under severe working conditions and can be used for sub-zero temp applications.

TYPE : JT 6F 20       Wide Range Clamp
This is double T-Bolt clamp designed for higher range of clamping requirements.

SPECIAL NON-STANDARD AVAILABILITIES

Apart from above, Non-standard clamps with various widths, thickness, T-Bolt, nut, specifications and special materials, surface finishing and mounting are designed to suit the customer requirements.

Ordering Information :
For smoother services the following points may please be noted by the customer while ordering.

  • Clamp DIA means Max OUTSIDE Dia of the mounting hose i.e. DN here. Use of mere term 'Hose Dia' (if it means INNER Dia) is confusive and should be avoided.
  • The customer should go through all above literature and decide the necessary type of Jupiter design for his use. OR may call for Jupiter Questionnaire to facilitate to decide or design specific clamps for P.No. applications. Accordingly prototype drawing shall be prepared and submitted for customer's conveniece.
  • Customer is requested to attend Jupiter's 'Receipt of order' form for validation and ammendment if any.
  • E-mail corrospondence should be complete with full address, P.P., Communication Nos. and other specific details of the sender.
